If you haven't made these decisions or thought about it by now, you will pay
the ultimate price later on, when your business begins to take off, and you can't
keep up with the stress of dealing with constant postage fee hikes, or how
international currency
rates can spike or drop overnight, or repeatedly answering the same questions,
about where and why you do and don't, ship items to certain area's or countries,
and why postal fee's are what they are.
In order for you to know what we really want, and how far you are prepared to
take your business, here are some things to consider; some countries do not offer
postage and packaging insurance and once the item leave's Australia, its basically
in uncharted waters.
You have to take your "customers word" as to whether they received
the item or not. Australia
Post cannot insure a parcel in a country that does not offer insurance! That
would be ludicrous, so why would they risk it? Further more, why would you offer
it if you can't add it?
Other unnamed countries are known for pulling international scams:
credit card charge backs scams or identity theft.
Stolen credit cards are used to purchase high priced ticket items, and have them
delivered to selected destinations, once the item is collected by the customer -
the customer (or card thief) reports the item was never received or the card was
stolen and used.
The card issuer withdraws the funds back from your account and refunds the customer
- and who loses out here? You've done your bit right? You sent the goods and what
happened? You lost the money and the goods.
